Your startup vs a competitor

Real Google searches, real site scans, one honest score — and a roast of you (never them).

Free. 3 battles a day. Real Google searches and site scans — no made-up numbers.

How we measure

HP = 100 × (points earned ÷ points possible), using only metrics measured for BOTH products. Points: Pages mentioning you on Google page 1 up to 35 (full at 20); Launches found up to 20 (full at 4); Reddit threads naming you up to 15 (full at 4); Index health score up to 30 (full at 100/100). Each metric scales linearly up to its cap.

Pages mentioning you on Google page 1 · counts toward HP
Google first-page results (Serper) for the same buyer searches, run once for both products. Each cell counts results that name the product. Limits: First page only (max 10 per search), so a cell can show “10+”. Not a total index count.
Launches found · counts toward HP
Google results for “<name> Product Hunt / Show HN / Reddit / BetaList / Indie Hackers” style searches, the same queries for both products, run in the same request. Limits: Only launches whose result title names the product. Votes/comments shown only if written in the title.
Reddit threads naming you · counts toward HP
Google results for site:reddit.com "<domain>" and site:reddit.com "<name>", the same two searches for both products, run in the same request. Limits: Only thread pages count. A result from the name search counts only if the thread title names the product. Up to 10 links shown.
Index health score · counts toward HP
Our index checker: robots.txt, sitemap and up to 25 sampled pages per site (noindex, canonicals, redirects, errors, thin content, orphans). Both sites scanned the same way, at the same time. Limits: Shows what blocks indexing, not Google's real index status (that needs Search Console).
App directory pages listing it
The map's “App directories” row: Google first-page directory results (G2, Capterra, AlternativeTo, Product Hunt and similar) naming the product. Limits: First page only; only measured for competitors that are part of your map.
Home page response
One GET of each home page from our server: time to response, final status, whether it ends on HTTPS. Limits: A single sample from one location; not real-user speed.
Languages on the site
The home page's <html lang> and hreflang alternate links. Limits: Only what the home page declares.
Domain age
Registration date from public RDAP (rdap.org). Limits: Some registries hide or omit the date; then it shows “not checked”.
GitHub stars
Only if the home page links a public GitHub repo: the unauthenticated GitHub API. Limits: “No public repo linked” if none; GitHub's rate limit can make it “not checked”.

We do not show traffic, backlinks, revenue or follower counts: we cannot measure them honestly from public data, and we do not estimate. Any metric we could not measure shows “not checked” and is left out of the score for both sides.

The roast is written by AI from the measured numbers only (metrics measured for both sides), is about your product only, and is checked so it cannot invent numbers; if it fails the check we use a fixed line.
